The process of dividing one large lot into two or more smaller lots, known as sub-division is separate to the town planning and building permits process.

RESIDENTIAL 1B

Residential 1B is a boarding house class that consist a maximum 300sqm of total floor area and a maximum of 12 people living in the dwelling. 2 car spaces are only required. A planning permit is not required if designed under the boarding house regulations and is only a building permit, yes that correct a planning permit is not required in most cases and start building within 6 weeks.
